AN EXTRAORDINARY ROAST SUNDAY LUNCH
I recently had a Sunday Roast Lunch at The Artful Grocers in the village of Wadhurst, East Sussex, just ten short minutes from Royal Tunbridge Wells.
I challenge anyone to find me a better, tastier meal anywhere in the UK in this day and age. Food cooked the way your grandmother or great grandmother used to cook, using an incredible array of fresh local vegetables that the taste buds will never ever forget.
The list of ingredients is huge and I struggled to identify them all without a little help from Ellie, the chef/owner.
A little of everything as follows, beef, chicken, roast potatoes, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, leeks, butternut squash, mashed swede, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage and topped off with a Yorkshire pudding. How she brings it all together all at once, on one plate is truly unbelievable.
The incredible flavours kept me going until I finally managed to completely demolish the entire plateful.
An amazing meal for any adult and an education for every child who needs their eyes opened to all all on their plate.
